"It was delightfully tranquil and quiet, very peaceful with lots of thoughtful touches and we enjoyed all the eco friendly products, handmade benches, recycled items and the best camp showers we have ever experienced. The firepit worked really well - great use of re-purposed gas cylinder. You were all so friendly and helpful too. Thank you for a great stay :)"

“Beautiful campsite, really lovely hosts who checked we had everything we needed. Stayed one night with our van, good warm showers and nice clean compost toilet on site. Absolutely beautiful walk along the river and woods.
Would highly recommend.”

"Beautiful site, quiet and so peaceful. Facilities were fantastic and the owners have done an incredible job making the showers, toilets, washing up areas and bin areas eco-friendly.
Each pit has its own fire pit, and picnic type table and chairs. All hand made... a lovely extra touch. Bird song all day, birds of prey soaring overhead and I was lucky enough to have a fly by, by an owl at dusk.
Dog friendly, with separate dog exercise field as well as a lovely lake to walk around."

“We arrived at South Hoggs Hideaway to be greeted with warm, welcoming smiles from the proprietors, then taken to our well maintained pitch. Eco friendly compost toilets were the best and immaculately clean along with the washing-up area.
The lake walk was beautiful, spotting two beautiful kingfishers. If you want a relaxing chilled out break, this is the place to go.”

“Honestly, couldn’t recommend it enough. The actual area is lovely and quiet with a great lake walk available through a small gate. The actual tent is amazing too... Not to mention that Michaela and Mark make sure you have everything you need to be comfortable... They really thought of everything. On the subject of Michaela and Mark they are some of the nicest people you’ll meet... Their number one concern was your comfort and happiness and you can really feel that...The scenery is beautiful and quiet... Every facility you could wish for but still with the authentic feeling of being outside and camping. Definitely recommend it.”
